Alright, I am referring to: This addon

Now, The directions that come with it are simple, however, on one part I am unsure as to *what* I am supposed to add:

Quote:

Hello to everyone who downloads this. The death star in this mod comes from the stvssw mod.
The pulse phaser was created by "Jc". The fumod phaser was created by "CaptainFuture". The
galaxy x phaser and the death star super laser also come from the stvssw mod.

To install this just copy all the files into their coresponing folders. The only thing you
have to do is choose which race to give it to and which contruction ship to put it in,
and I do suggest that you put it in a construction because it looks weird coming out of shipyard.
Below is a copy of the death star odf file the race change is whats in between the $ sign
You can make it borg, federation, romulan, klingon, cardassian, or species 8472.
The last thing to change is to put in a construction ship don't forget the number.

buildItem* = "dstar"

Sorry i forgot one more thing you have to add it to the gui_global

Everything except the bolded part I understand just fine, I am just unsure as to *what* im supposed to add to gui_global?

Thanks Smile

edit:

Ok, been doing a bit more digging on other sides. In the comments on another mod side I found some one saying you have to add:
Code:
b_dstar gbdstar 0 0 64 64

to the gui_global and
Code:
dstar.odf 0

to fulltech and tech1

Going to try this Smile

edit2:

Alright, I tried that... it shows up and all in the build list, however when I go to build it, its below the map (So to speak) and the construction ship cant get to it and I cant seem to get it to build higher (Tried holding shift and moving the mouse, which normally lets you control how high / low to build / move stuff, but it dosnt seem to work.) :/

edit3:

Alright, I got it to work by slapping it into a shipyard and letting that build it Smile

I've never had the problem of a construction ship not being able to reach the construction site under the described circumstances. However, I think I know what may be causing this.

It may be that for a contruction ship to build something, it has to be within the footprint of the building (or in this case, the ship). By default, ships do not have a footprint. So, you might be able to make the death star buildable by a construction ship if you add this line to the odf:

footprintBuffer = 40.0f

Alright, ill give it a try Smile thanks.

Also, the deathstar is kind of... odd, is there a way to stop it from leaning when it turns, and stretching when it warps? (Would also like to apply that to the super star destroyers, and all that, as they look extremely retarded stretched out to half the map when they warp).

edit: Alright, that worked, however there is no ghost image to show where its building. Is there a way to fix this as well?

edit: Alright, I found the setting to stop it for leaning in one of the physics files, however I don't see one for stretching? (I am assuming this is hardcoded in the game?).
