I'm having trouble adding new races to A2. Each one I put on seems to override the last one I put on. EG: The Tholains overright ultimate Dominion. Help!

Thats because you have to manually modify races.odf so you can have all of them at the same time.

Err how do I do that?

Dominion Ultimate, and the Remans are both exe's. Should I install the Tholians the manual way or is there a way around the exe's wiping other mods out?

This is how(with notepad ofcourse).

Before:
numberOfRaces = 8
race0 = "borg.odf"
race1 = "fed.odf"
race2 = "kling.odf"
race3 = "rom.odf"
race4 = "card.odf"
race5 = "fer.odf"
race6 = "species8472.odf"
// this one is 'uninhabited' for planets
race7 = "norace.odf"

After:
numberOfRaces = 11
race0 = "borg.odf"
race1 = "fed.odf"
race2 = "kling.odf"
race3 = "rom.odf"
race4 = "card.odf"
race5 = "fer.odf"
race6 = "species8472.odf"
race7 = "(dominion race file).odf"
race8 = "(reman race file).odf"
race9 = "(tholian race file).odf"
// this one is 'uninhabited' for planets
race10 = "norace.odf"

The order doesn't matter really aslong as the are between 8472 and norace.

And then go into the new races files and change this line accordingly.

// Instant action slot, negative means not playable
instantActionSlot = 0

Install them to a dummy folder. Copy everything one race at a time(except races.odf thats the only file that should be overridden). Do what I did above and you should be fine.

Its in the odf>other folder and by dummy folder I mean like c:\activision\sta2 instead of c:\program files\activision\sta2.
