Reminder of Rule Additions
Announces
We'll dispense with the introductions for the moment while we focus on some things that have been going on lately, such as the fact that the rules have been updated as of a month ago. The link to the updated rules is here: Rule Additions........EVERYONE READ..

In addition to the above, there are a few other issues which the administration will be combating, such as the spamming of the link submitting system. Links submitted into the wrong categories, such as advertising non-Armada sites in the Armada section, will be dealt with by banning of the submitter's email address and/or related account (through cross-referencing). Under no circumstances are such links to be posted in those sections unless they are related to what category they are going into. In addition, advertisements for anything unrelated or irrelevant to the content of the link category is prohibited along with anything such as Viagra, Casinos, Gambling, or anything else that falls into the category of "You should not post this at all". This list of original forum posting rules in this thread is mostly just a guideline for the forum, but for all sections of this site it is an excellent guide to show you what you probably can and cannot do here. If you choose not to follow them, you can end up barred from the site permanently. Repeat offenses beyond that will result in reporting your activities, depending upon the content you choose to submit for things such as links.

Abuse of the Broken Links system is also becoming a concern. Files that are not broken links are somehow being submitted as being "broken" although they are not. It is an attempt at tricking people into thinking there are broken links. Although most broken link submissions are accurate, or have been in the past, some recent submissions of the Broken Links System were not. Spam of any kind must be dealt with. It lowers the quality of the content and fills otherwise useful website real estate with useless information.

This is a community founded on the belief of helping people with their problems in modding or gaming with the Star Trek Armada series and lately, Star Trek: Legacy. Posting spam or abusing this site's error-tracking systems and link submissions introduces a counter-productive element into that community and for the fairness of all those here, such abuse will be dealt with by warnings, account suspensions, or account banning through any number of methods.

Thank you for reading this announcement. Have a safe, happy, and productive Holiday!
