Re: ST:BotF Galaxies MOD v0.3.0a (Major Update)
I was wondering if you could tell me how to adjust the intel amount for the borg? At tech 5 each one gives +2. I found that even dedicating every system to full intel with the uniplex built, I still get raped by the dominion. I would like to adjust this to match up more like the feds at around 10.
I simply love your mod. The transwarp conduits for the borg is probably my favorite feature lol. I really like the AI as well. I was quite surprised when my 6 cubes got attacked by 100+ fed ships.
I was wondering if any of you knew what causes everyone to declare war on you? I am pretty sure it's based at least on military strength, but are there other factors?
If anyone is having issues with turn length I noticed a nice difference by adjusting the map size by a few points. I think the default for small is 27X20 and I changed it to 25X18 and turns don't seem to be as long by a nice bit.

Re: ST:BotF Galaxies MOD v0.3.0a (Major Update)
Here is a quick update. I was playing around with UE 7.1b and when I try to update the intel stats for borg I get Error: in edifice.bst: Missing basic scanner available to all races.
Any of you know how to work around this?
The UE editor works fine on vanilla and UDM. I dug around forums for a few hours, but could not find an answer. I am hoping someone smarter then I can help me out.

Try downloading a dev version of UE, if im not mistaken I believe 0.7.2dev2b is what I used the majority of the time (with experimental features turned on in the settings menu) to mod the game. But the Borg are not supposed to be huge intel bombers, hence even the Hansons from ST:V successfully infiltrated a cube from the SS Raven, Im certain a shapeshifter could easily infiltrate and deal massive damage to the Collective, and if I had to say I would say that Founders cant be assimilated due to the liquidity of their being, the nanoprobes would just 'fall out' of the liquid body. Food for thought before you go changing things around
However, this is why we test things, so I may actually bump them up to around +4 for each intel, thanks Glad your enjoying the mod so far.

Oh I get your reasoning. This is more for my own personal preference. I was just going to keep rebuilding stuff till they took about 100k. Noone messes with my money . I tried the dev UE with experimental features, but that did not work either. I also tried the last one and the oldest one in his list. I just can't seem to save any changes to stbotf.res.

Re: ST:BotF Galaxies MOD v0.3.0a (Major Update)
An update. I got it to work, but it did not work with the version you recommended. I got it to work with 7.0.2dev5a . Very happy now. Time to crush the dominion.
Just to clarify to anyone else in need. If you want to edit the botf.res for galaxies mod you need UE version 7.0.2dev5a.... enjoy.

Looks like you still need to clean up the black area around image to a pure balck so it will be transparent.

Re: ST:BotF Galaxies MOD v0.3.0a
I noticed that, but im not sure how to do that? You cant really see it unless its at that specific angle however so Im really not too worried about it lol
Re: ST:BotF Galaxies MOD v0.3.0a
They look real good Tethys thanks for brightening up the quantum But as a perfectionist (and I think you are too) you should do something about cleaning up the black outline around the new graphics as TC suggests. In your mod you want a lot of ships in battle... so with 200+ ships firing you will see that outline quite well. Its your graphic of course but I'm just saying.
