CitiesXL?

Post by cleverwise »

Anyone played CitiesXL, especially the new Platinum HD version?

I wanted to answer a bit earlier but always forgotten about it. However, now it's weekend, I have some time and remembered I wanted to come back to afc for a while.

about Cities XL:
I played that game but didn't get much into it. Partly buggy and then the gameplay... the successor: Cities Skylines however... great game. I got it last week for cheap. Even at launch it wasn't an expensive game to begin with. And it's probably what the new Sim City should always have been.

Steam Summer Sale is right around the corner. You might get it there for even less than I did.

I read this week that this game sold over a million copies and is still steadily selling although it's been out for over a month now. The modding scene is great, too.

Here's a great playlist from Fluxtrance, a guy who I'm watching for quite some time now. (He's been known for making some cool Rollercoaster Tycoon vids).

Thanks for the feedback. CitiesXL and XXL do look awesome but I have read they are fairly buggy. SimCity is beyond a joke.

I wonder if that's efficient, though.

Yeah no game (or software title) is 100% perfect. However I have heard a lot of bad issues with CitiesXL and XXL, which is to bad because they are awesome in speed and what you can do. Plus the graphics are very nice in those titles.

That is an interesting design for a bus terminal. I would guess it is fairly efficient. Nice post.

I haven't encountered any bugs in Cities: Skylines so far.

It's a whole different experience than Cities XL. If it was a bugfest, I'd refunded it instantly.

That's good to hear. I have read similar posts that Skylines runs great and CitiesXL not so much.
