I have sent out many messages in the past attempting to contact some of the original development team of BOTF or BOF
here is one I just received from one of the producers
Thanks for your interest in the game we called "BOF" while we were working on it. We team members don't own the source code; the company we worked for does. With all the mergers and acquisitions that happened since then, I couldn't tell you who owns the source code now. Plus, I seriously doubt that any member of the team has the entire source code for the game. Still, I appreciate that you wrote and I wish I could be of more help. It's very heartening to know that you've enjoyed the game all these years. We worked long hours, weeks, months on that game. Had a lot of fun doing it, too. I'm glad you had fun on the flip side.
