Hi everyone

With all the scattered reports about crash logs I thought this would be a good place to collect them.

Note: if you have made any changes 9 times out of 10 will cause crash on saved games. So start new game to see if crash still happens

When map size has been edited it may take longer to place all the systems. You should wait for race intro video to go at least half way though

whats this?
That sounds like a save with different amount of ships than in current shiplist.

More info would be needed

when this happens ect

I am sorry...
thought it would explain its self

so, i started re-texturing few ships (see it in "New ships")
after i sepereated the nx class, i draw a new texture, saved it as *.gif
and put it thogether/add it with UE
(certanly i make the centaur as an ENT-era ship^^)

when i start a new game, go into the system view and click on shipyard, the game crash...

the other ships went well, also the nx class mirror universe variant

Sounds like trek.exe wasn't modified. Make sure you click yes when UE asks to change trek.exe and make sure it's writing to the right one. You can set the default trek.exe under settings.

Do a copy/remove ship under ships then save to triger the dialog.

i don't get it...i followed all your suggestions, but i get this damn error...:evil:
perhaps it has something to do with deleting a few ships?

for my mod i remove half of the ships..don't need them.

I am currently suffering from this error, although not consistently... I'm afraid I don't fully understand the solution. I'd be very grateful if someone could explain in more detail. :?

This error occurs immediately after the introduction scene after selecting your race/galaxy/etc. This is playing an older UDM mod. I've made similar major modifications using UE for UDML and tried applying those same modifications for UDM, as I wanted a smaller galaxy. Not sure what exactly I did here to screw up the game...any help is appreciated!

EDIT: Not sure if it's of any importance, but regardless of which race, the galaxy size/shape, the same error occurs

what did you modify?
from error log it has something to do with farms
first thing run integrity check with UE
this might give you some idea of problem
but much more info would be needed
what version?
what was edited?
were changes taken from UDML then added to normal?
or was each change made manully to normal version with UE?

After comparing the changes I successfully made from UDML and failed with in UDM, it seems that the problem originated from modifying primitive farms.

Basically, what I did was change all tech levels of buildings to 9 and changed their production cost to a minimum, while also increasing output to maximum (i.e. tech 1 produces like tech 9, but has the cost of tech 1 buildings), thus, allowing all new colonies to be utilized to the fullest extent immediately after colonization. Apparently, changing the primitive farm's tech level or production cost caused the error. And yes, I will only be playing only from tech 5 and massing up huge amounts of ships, similar to DS9 :)

Sorry if I wasted anyone's time, I've been fiddling with this problem for several days, and I couldn't figure it out until now. Thanks anyways!!

Game crash Turn 180 cant fix pls help! :)

Tried to go a few turns back , tried going avoid on all ships, tried moving all ships to different spots, tried canceling all building on all systems.

I am running Ultimate mod 4 and playing as the dominion (love the mod so far!)

I had run the installer for the All Ages Mod on Windows 7 as admin and couldn't launch as user. Launching the mod as admin worked though, so there might be permissions issues on that file causing the error for people too.

I would think find this i_¢30.tga and rename it. it is invalid format (¢)

Note all file for that ship model would need to be renamed and phaser slot in trek.exe.

You should only use letter/number combos and should always start with a letter.
