So Vanilla makes shields offline within the nebula, why not cloaking devices?

Add on idea, for the Cloak levels to determine if ship can cloak in the same sector as an anomaly (nebula, pulsar, etc) to add strategic value to these map objects.

This is an great idea strongly recommend it but dont know about others tho i hope they agree this cud be used in mods too if botf allows it

Ive been wondering about this, if anyone has any information as to where the cloaking checks would be I could give it a go. Very unfair advantage being able to cloak in a nebula, shields being down. I will take a look into some code tomorrow see if I can dig something up, if nobody post by then.
I do remember there was a fix for Cardassian cloaking, not sure if that would be the place to check or not, but I will have a look.

So now I am thinking if maybe there is a way to have a set chance to disable cloak when entering combat in a nebula sector (or hell, why not ANY anomalous sector) This would spice things up quite a bit I'd say

If I could, i would make the nebulae give a -500 or so to scanning strength; every nebula i've seen on tv is a hiding place. You could even bump into each other and start a battle without seeing the opposing force. Maybe use one of Flocke's initial sky-boxes to make it difficult to spot ships .
