So as usual, keep a backup of stbof.res and trek.exe before editing
If editing any save game, you should make a backup before editing.
Ultimate Editor can open/edit alt.res, stbof.res, saved games, create botf ani/cur files from tga images, convert jpg/png/bmp/tga to 16-bit tga... and much more.......
You need to have Java 8 installed to run the editor. It can be downloaded here
