space distortion: makes me think of ENTERPRISE during the reptilian season. Some subspace ripples that acted as wormholes. But for example, FT mapq will be huger from what i remember, and wormholes can be set to destroy themselves after usage. (or wormholes that do damage to to shields/crew) An idea...

computer virus: perminantly hijacks spelling error: permanently. Not to sure how balanced this kind of weapon can be. Build a couple of vessels that have this kind of weapon and seize the enemies battle ships/dreadnoughts... Sceptic about this one i am. Still hoping to see the final release though....
