Very impressive, Major... I especially like the closeup on the BoP in the second image. It's always been my favorite Klingon ship (mostly because it looks like a predatory ship should, fast and lean), so it's great to see it done with such an excellent texture. :)

I remember the first fed episode, wonder what ever happened to them ? Bill Shatner mentioned the First Federation and Balok (well, to a point) in Dark Victory and Preserver, but didn't really elaborate too much. :( Given the power of the just the *one* ship, I'd have like to heard more about them a...

I'd like to add my thanks here... as much as I enjoy *playing* Armada, if it weren't for all help I've received during the time I've been learning to mod/model, I'd never have gotten my own ship off the ground (or would that be into orbit...? *shrugs*). The deepest gratitude to all of you. :)

Well, here she is in all her (moderately textured) glory: http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a366/Khaldore/HephStorm3D.png All the necessary work on her is done, aside from needing a *much* better texture. All that remains is repositioning the various nodes and hardpoints (since MS3D & Storm3D can't ...

*nods* I tried that first, but for some reason it hadn't helped. Thanks for the tip, though, Cap'n... at least I know for sure what that's for now. :) My other idea did work, though, thankfully... the texture is intact the way it should be. Now I have to finish placing all the nodes and hardpoints, ...

Um, okay... I understand the z-buffering bit, but the rest lost me. In any case, I don't believe I switched it off. However, I have another idea that might be the problem: I model using Blender3D, then I export the model into MS3D in the .obj format. Somehow, I think the export flipped the no...

The Hephaestus Class is almost done.

(My texture troubles have been corrected, so any further posting will reflect progress toward completion. If necessary, please move this topic to fit in the right subforum. :) ) Well, it's been a while, but I finally got MS3D regged and working. I've started work on the model again, and have a basic...

I don't make wireframes... but when I do need to make .tga files, I use a combination of PSP and The GIMP: http://www.gimp.org . I alternate back and forth between the two when creating them, but the final save is done with GIMP, if only beacuse it seems to save uncompressed .tga's properly. It migh...

8O ... very, very impressive. The Valdore skin is by far my favorite (primarily because I think that ship absolutely rocks)... definitely grabbing that one.

Nice design... looks more Romulan than Klingon to me, but it could easily work either way. Not to mention it's nice to see someone else using Blender for a change... now all we need is a .sod export script for it. :D In any case, I'd be happy to take a crack at the .blend file... that basic mesh cou...

My only complaint as far as Dell goes is this: the Dimension 2400 my fiancé's dad owns shipped with a defective power supply, which burned itself out a few months later (and was replaced within a week by a very professional and well-mannered tech). Other than that, for a low-budget system, there was...

Indeed... our gas here in PA was $ 3.21/gallon at the pumps near work, and between the hurricane damage and the fact it's Labor Day weekend, I'm sure it'll be higher by Sunday or Monday. :( Speaking of the disaster itself: lucky for me, my fiancé lived *well* north of New Orleans, but still... seein...

Wouldn't a picture on a Star Trek book cover be considered a canon design? Actually, I doubt it, at least as far as 'canon' goes. According to Paramount: As a rule of thumb, the events that take place within the live action episodes and movies are canon, or official Star Trek facts. Story lines, ch...

No worries... glad to help when I can. :D If it's any help, you can sort the folder by file type. That way, they'll automatically be sorted alphabetically and by type. Your ODFs will be first, followed by TT files. It's still a bit of a mess, but it's not too bad once you get used to it.

Maybe it's just me, but I've found with Armada 1 that the ODF files seem to be more effective (for lack of a better word) when *not* in subfolders. Try moving all the ODF and TT files to the 'addon' folder and see if the changes you've made work.
