And there's even fewer ordinance classlabels that support it. For A1, the minefield label, the shield disruptor, the myotronic burst and maybe one or two more. The minefield one is the only one that does damage BUT it always fires at the nearest ship in range. If you want a targetable one, the best ...

Ship's of my design, Hunter Class Corvette. Nothing Trekkish or anything. A few other images that I've posted here use it as well.

Orthos for all of ya.

Fiery Demise

Particle smoke and fire test. Quite complex, and turned out well. I really need a new model to work on..

Hunter Class Corvette

My old Hunter corvette model, in a scene. Effects test mostly, for the missile, starfield and particle beam, though the model itself is beginning to show its age. Should get retextured and edited soon, when (if I ever) have time.

That really is great. Do you have battle shots? Battle shots are quite difficult and long, especially when this ship takes 3 minutes to render. That said, I am working on one though They all look like they were screen shots captured from films. My work here is done then :) That's the look I was goi...

Imperator Class Star Destroyer 'Grey Wolf'

So, I've been working on lighting and retexturing an excellent Star Destroyer mesh (not modelled by me, sadly). Results:

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I'll take them into account if I ever do a new version.

Harrie: nice work picking up on the reflection. It was more of an accident than anything...

Corbomite_Ray... know anyone by the nickname of Kudzu?

The Weapon is Away

Atmospheric bombing run by a flight of bombers.

Which one looks better? First (no motion blur) or second (motion blur)?

Thanks everyone. Good comments are always welcome. Well, I'm not quite back as a modder.. mostly as a part time animator for the FT intro whenever I get time for it.

I'll update this once I have fixed the textures... they're currently old and badcompared to some new stuff that I've managed to do

It looks pretty good, especially considering that it's a (I assume) milkshape mesh. I hear it can't handle higher detail as easily. What's the poly count?

Hunters and Prey

Ooh, an art forum appeared while I was gone :P
I borrowed one of iOSYS' meshes to make this little composition, and did a bit of editing, lighting... (don't worry, I had permission)

Yeah, the way I see it, the Sernaix would easily take over the galaxy if they wanted too. The dreadnought in the mod will be balanced. Currently it costs around 42k of resources to build. That's equalizing factor #1, representing the power necesary to get the thing into our universe. Then, you've go...

about my poor, poor dreadnought Now that I'm back from vacation... I'm dishonoured... I'm completely ashamed by my fellow team members' behaviours.... It would be completely irrational of me to yell at you all for hours upon end... I have better things to do in my limited spare time. :P I seem to r...

Great work Phantom... I think it needs more though, considering it's use and the amount of stuff it replaces. I'm sure it's not done though. I look forward to the next additions :)

Cecil... that question was uncalled for :P I will personally see to it that it can be damaged... hehe

Once I see the entire thing done, I'll be impressed. Not before. :P

Seriously, it looks quite well modelled, but ir's difficult to tell without the texture. Add a texture and you'll get more comments :P
