Thanks Major Payne

I'd like to personally thank Major Payne for sparking my interest in modding the Armada series games. His tutorials along with the Westword's Big Book of Modding has kept me interested in this game for a number of years now. Thanks for showing me the way!

FYI: I converted that vessel for my personal mod about a year ago, and leaving the original texture maps and poly count, and it worked fine on my machine. I did build it as a hero ship though, and once its gone for me, thats it. I never released it because it was a personal mod and I didnt ask for p...

For all you out there without Photoshop, I use Irfanview and the GIMP for all my texture editing, along with TXD Workshop for tha alpha texturing and lighting. All are free and available on the web. Just a thought...

Sure no problem at all. I have not entered the hardpoints yet, or have an ODF, nor wireframe, but I can send you the MS3d and 3ds if you like.

serenity mesh SOD

Anyone remember the Serenity? A Firefly class cargo ship on the Sci Fi channel? Anyone interested in a A2 SOD built by myself? I created the model in Milkshape, using the textures from Zoic, the studio that created the model for the show. The model is a lightweight 858 polys, and I must say for my f...

When you take a stock or standard model, and you add parts to it from another model or something you came up with and reinvented it, that is a kitbash. The original Battlestar Galactica in the seventies was kitbashed from several different plastic models to cover its outer hull. Your best bet is to ...

Need an old SOD from A2

I messed up. I created a new SOD with Milkshape to replace the stock Ferengi cargo ship for A2. Problem is I thought I backed up the old SOD, and I didn't. Anybody have one floating around somewheres on their HD? Of course I could go to another computer here and load the game from scratch, but I'd r...

You would have those guys from Outalance for permission to do so. Trust me, they get very antsy when someone ports a model from them without them knowing. And you will have to keep bugging them until they decide to read the emails and give you the go ahead.
Other than that, it is a piece of cake.

I'm assuming you are wondering where they are actually placed on the model. I use Milkshape to import the stock model, and correlate the harpoints with the odf file. Milkshape is free to try for 30 days, more than enough time to unlock all the stock SODs!

It rocked!

Very good detailed story, CGI and characters! I'm glad Micheal Bay and Steven Spielberg did it some justice.

Hey Phantom, I eyeballed your model picture and came up with a similar version on my own, it can build, repair, and process latinum all at the same time which I thought was so cool! I would like to send it to you, and you can tell me what you think of it. I can send you some screen shots ingame if y...

Masao Okazaki's Transports

I am in the process of making Masao Okazaki's transports from Bernd Schneider's site http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org, from the Starfleet Museum section http://www.starfleet-museum.org. I have made all of the Atom, Constellation and Ocean class transports, and have added light maps to the textures,...

Those ships are designed by ATOLM and Azel and Tus shipyards. Good luck in contacting any of those folks for any permissions. I've been trying for a year now to contact them with no luck. I don't even want to speculate why.

Make sure (which Im sure you have) that the picture was saved at 16 million colors, or 24 bit. I have had mad problems because I didn't check that when I saved my texture.
