That causes craft to use the trekphysicsfile and to use cloverleaf, arrow, and circling attacks by default. In A2 this is set independently in formations and via game options. In A1 it's combined.

It's not possible to do that in A1/A2 other than the nasty directionally challenged transwarpdrive ordnance, but it is possible in Fleet Operations using the ReplaceWeapon + animation.

It's not possible to do that in A1/A2, but it is in Fleet Operations using the CannonImp weapon. We have commands specifically to emulate these type of effects :).

Is this Armada II or Armada I? :)

Armada II specifically has a flag for planets: relativeAtmosphereSpeed . For Armada I, I'm not certain, but if you take a look at our Fleet Ops background planets+textures it should be understandable (should use identical features).

As I said on fo.net, this precise command is referenced in A2 as well. As in A1, it appears to have no function associated with it. In all likelihood it's just a remnant that was forgotten by the programmers. There are only about 40 commands (out of hundreds) that have no apparent functionality: mos...

Yup, that's correct - but for most modifications that doesn't matter. Armada I shipped with just about 500 ODFs, which is not enough to result in any noticeable slowdowns due to the include instruction. Add an order of magnitude and you'll notice it :)

Poly counts should in general not be a significant cause of these issues: Armada I uses a very outdated software render for explosions and cloaking, which causes significant slowdowns for multi-mesh models. The more meshes used in a model, the nastier stuff gets. Similarly, the bigger the texture/mo...

Hm, so far that I've noticed the pod just has to be centered at the front of the vessel and then it can move properly usually - if it's in the center, it either spins really rapidly or once given a movement order, starts to bounce in that direction and spin :D

Yes, that's why you need to place the command there ;). It's absence is what causes the issue.

I'm not sure what you mean - can you explain that further? :) With the exception of the officer Upgrade class, I don't think there are any classes in A1 that aren't in A2 - the guide I linked has all A2 classes described, so should just be a matter of cross checking to see if the executable referenc...

I would perhaps try with Tunngle (either on the same network or not) - it can't hurt, and it won't take too much of your time. I would be sure to uninstall Hamachi first however, as it has a tendency of also acting up when other VPNs are installed... -.- As you can tell, I'm not that big of a fan of...

Yes, that could very well be the case - some VPN protocols cause issues when multiple computers log onto the same network. This can even be a passive issue, where just the presence of the VPN's adaptor causes an issue bear in mind.

If I recall correctly, Hamachi needs several more ports forwarded for at least older games. Hamachi will need only one UDP and one TCP port to be forwarded to your computer. You can select any port you wish from the Hamachi settings. If you have enabled UPnP for your router you can set Hamachi to au...

Yup, unfortunately as Target Override is a Bullet ordnance, it disappears as soon as it hits, as in the description there :). I would not rely on Big Book of Modding for commands information or AI modding - much of the stuff in those sections is wrong or incomplete and can cause great confusion. The...

TargetOverride is a beam-based weapon disabler, so it would fulfill that function already :). ...or did I misunderstand something?

In regard to unibeam: yup, that's why I cautioned 'if you were using Fleet Ops as a base' :)
