Check if the picture of the map is to big ... it must be 48,0 kb.
My editor saves the pictures to big and so armada is crashing.
If its to big you must make it smaller ... to 48,0 kb its optimal.

Set the transporter range to 0.0 ... it doesnt crash the game.
I know that because i use that in my AI mod, because i find it unrealistic for Star Trek to beam through shields, so i disabled it.

Check if the screenie of that saved map have the same size as the others screenies ... my editor saves it wrong and that crashes my A1 too. The screenie must be 48,0 KB !!!

The picture of the map is saved in the addon folder as a bitmap. It should have 48,0 KB, but my editor saves it to big and, like yours too, the mappitcure is mirrored. To play my map i must decrease the size to 48,0 KB, for that i use Ulead Photo Express, i dont know how you can make it, experiment ...

Look if the picture of the map is the same size as the others. My map editor saves the mappicture false ... if its the same problem for you youve manually decrease the size of that picture.

Its under Downloads-Armada1-Mods-Addons-"Alternativ AI for the B5 Mod".

And yeah there will be problems if you modded the ships ... i only changed the attackPower=x.xxf entry, but if youve modded other entrys then you have to look in my ship odfs and copy the attackpower entry.

Yup, he builds fleets like my ai too :D .. nothing special if you edit the ai parameters. I dont trie to make the ai of xtreme bad, its a good ai, but nothing special except that better ressource managment ... and thats made out of new buildings and not by ai editing. Hmm, the extreme mod had a normal ai, what maked this ai so strong were the new freighterbuildings ! The ressource managment was much better cause of that new buildings and that was it why the ai was strong. But the ai had no defensive and offensive lists, only a buildlist for all.
