what do you realy lose? Time and effort, what with making the model, applying the texture maps to the individual parts, making sure the 'extra' details are correct... and, when the ship is so small ingame, you can't actually see the difference between a good 2000 poly model and a 10000 poly one. PS...

Actually yes, you're totally right. There were Vulcan ships seen in Unification, but they were a completely different design. Sorry about that. Microprose obv got mixed up when they made BOTF =) Cmndr_Parker1, didn't you used to mod Armada before? I seem to remember you sending me a load of ships yo...

For the first one, I'd go with the design which doesn't have any pods. However, keep the model of the pod itself... If you do an artillery ship at some point, those pods would be perfect... As for the second design, I think it's a bit soon for me to make a judgment, but it looks like it will turn ou...
