Somehow humankind, if we are to live in unity, must get past the "Battle between Good and Evil" mentality. All war is inherently evil, though defending one's country is a priority. There are a lot of people in this world who want to see a battle that would be so fantastic in scale that it would be t...

About the venting plasma thing. There was a ship I downloaded some time back that was called the Independence class. In the game, the ship vents warp plasma. I'm not sure if that's intended, but it looks kind of neat since I had never seen that happen on any other ship before. Another ship I have - ...

Wow! That is a lot of smileys, don't know quite what that has to do with an Armada 2 ship editor, but I get the humor. Anyway, about using a text editor for the odf files. I found TextPad to be the best editor for all text-based files. It can integrate C++ compiling and all that, so for me that's te...

Wow! I've looked through this thread and I agree - perhaps this thread should be locked! Throughout the whole thread, the point of it's original heading just completely lost all meaning after about 3 pages! Sure, some of what is being said the last two pages relates closely to the target, but not mu...

My favorite Star Trek movie was either First Contact or Nemesis. I can't believe that they killed Data off, but I kinda expected either Data or Picard to die, so I was sort of prepared for something terrible to happen - that's the movies! Best of Both Worlds and All Good Things were the best TNG epi...

I just watched Star Trek II and III on TV this week, and after seeing what Kirk and Spock were able to do, I think that they can kick butt better than any other captain. In a way, I guess that's why the Enterprise eversince has always been the flagship because of the legendary Captain Kirk. At the s...

When I first viewed the Enterprise-J on Enterprise, I thought that it looked ugly. But now that I see it redone in all of it's glory - it is definitely not the ugly ship that I saw on Enterprise!!! Well Done!!! The way it is recreated here is the way the Enterprise-J should be personified in Star Tr...

I remember that I had difficulty chosing between Picard and Kirk, but when I watched the DVD of DS9 and watched around 30 episodes, I would have to think that Sisko's my favorite captain as well. I like the point Trekkie_197 made on how Sisko is into a real sport. I like baseball as well. I think Pi...
