I aplogise for the double post but please bare with: I found the buggar! I found the ferrengi cargo ship, its cleverly hidden as zfercarg, something I thought was a refrence to the capture the flag game. Anyhow, having analysed it deeply, I'm unhappy to say there is absolutely no difference to that ...

Bit late with my idea, but I'll tell it to you if you get stuck again: You know that number next to the ???.odf in the techtree, if you'd have changed that to 1, and had a galaxy class up and running, I'm pretty sure you'd have been able to have carried on building them..but iuts late now so doesn't...

Going back to the viewing of another special weapon and getting it-this is assimilation. Give a weapon, say a blank sod, then as the weapon itself, give it the classlabel of the borg tech. assimilator, voila, once its met it's requirements, it'll add that weapon to the ship complement like it would ...

It is a station though, and if it is a research station, you'll most likely only have one on the map at once. It does look very nice...but there;s something about it that I can't quite put my finger on...something...missing. Perhaps try again with a slightly darker texture...I dunno, something...

I know this is incredibly simple, but what about the positionning of the base? That can usually make a big difference-the mining ship will lock onto the nearest resource it can mine...hope that help's.
