simply put, it would be difficult to get the final researched station to look right, as for telling the planet to have more then one, I beleive it is hardcoded to have only one.

correct, the exporter is for Max 6 only. found out the reason for the ships texture being glossy... it save in .png format when I export it, and looking at the textures in Photoshop, the entire texture is alpha, therefore glowing... Im gonna look into fixing this.

I posted a similar topic in the Any Games section of the site... I am currently working on putting star trek ships into the game, take a look at these pics and you will see. Only problem is they are areally glossed, and also dont have lightmaps, though the original models from the game do.

for the tt files, just use notepad, it opens ODFs as well. for mods... several people, including myself, are working on newer mods for A2, but if you want a good one, in my opinion BI:VR is a great mod, thats Borg Incursion: Vital Responses.
