maybe the hardpoint is ment to be outside the Mesh and the one you chose is inside the Mesh so they cluster around it.

In A2 it is best to make it with the fusion weapon.

ie:

fusedClass = "rscimitar"

// How much metal must we spend to fuse this?
fusingMetalCost = 0

// Multiweapon, requires 8 Borg tactical cubes
multiReqClass0 = "rscimitartheralon"
multiReqMin0 = 1
