Should work perfectly fine in A1; that's what I was basing my previous comments on. :)

Nothing's random :D
As MrVulcan said, it's probably a tiny error in an odf. It's one of the most annoying things about modding (or any kind of programming)

Try starting the game, and then a few minutes after your ships fly out backwards, abort the game. Then take a look at the Armada log file. (C:\Program Files\Activision\Star Trek - Armada\Logs\logfile.txt) That path should be right, unless you installed Armada in a different directory/hard drive. If ...

First off, do you have any modifications at all installed on Armada?
Because some of your models might be messed up, but they shouldn't come backwards out of the shipyard. They might fly backwards but they should all come out the shipyard in the same direction. Odd :?

That's what I thought, just wanted to check :)

Those are some beautiful Romulans. I'd like to see them raining fire down on some Sovereigns

Storm 3D won't work unless you have installed it's executables in the root Armada directory. Shortcuts work fine, but you need to put the EXE in the same folder as you Star Trek Armada installation.

Starting to model can be tough, but the rewards are great when you can see your own models ingame :) I'd recommend to start with something simple, maybe even just a big box. Once you're familiar with the basic forms, than you can start to make more complex objects.

Very nice :D
Is it just me, or does the Ael'Hatham (I think that's it; I just checked the FT site) have unbalanced wings? :? From all the pictures I've seen, it looks like the left wing is shorter than the other. It's probably just an odd perspective...

I don't think I have this problem, but I do get the message when I try to change avatars. I think it's an error on the server.

I love it! Rearranged gui and new wireframes are both great! :D
I was thinking of putting the system icons on the Frontiers wireframes, but I never quite got there.

What do you mean?? Be specific :) If your life support is disabled, than you will start losing crew off of that ship or station, until life support is repaired. On a ship, you can tell them to repair and recrew and that fill fix the life support; on a station you just have to wait. Certain special w...

As far as races, Frontiers will probably have as playable (if I don't get the fifth race going  ) these races: United Federation of Planets Oh man there are so many ships for the feds that I'm really going to have to pick and choose what I want :D . Might throw a few Vulcan ships in as science...

OK, I've left this thread for a while, but I've been quietly working away :) One of my current priorities is the race.odf file. I have everything in place for a fifth race (in A1), just a simple test with a starbase and a scout. They are using a racename of epsilon in the coding. AI files, GUI files...

SFC conversion crashes

Alright, so I've been going through the Battleclinic site and looking for a few ships that are not too bad on polys that I could convert to SOD for my mod. I've found a bunch of models I like, and most of them open up fine. However, several models cause a crash of MS3D on loading. I can list them if...
