In addition, I would have the Hardpoint numbers match the weapons numbers, just to be safe. I'm not sure if it really matters, but it's a sensible precaution. It just doesn't add up to have

Well, I'm thoroughly confused too. I just tried the five-tech thing with the Akira (would have used the Defiant, but I no longer have one) and it worked fine. All I had to do was change the Gemini Effect slot # to 3 and up the amount of special weapons energy. I would assume that this should work on...

They're orange. The Voyager pretty much carries about your average photon torpedos. But it also carried a few tricobalts at the beginning of the show, which they managed to exhaust (unlike their supposedly limited photons), and had trans-phasics at the end of the show. If changing the numbers eludes you, you can always take the wphaser.tga and wphoton.tga and change those using whatever you use to make your textures (I assume that's the case for A2 anyway).
