I'm sorry if I misunderstood you. My minelayer weapons do track and point, for whatever reason (one of my missiles is really small so it's almost hard to tell, but in recent times I've added a Dominion Carrier to the game that launches kamikaze Dominion fighters as a weapon. They fly a little awkwar...

Okay I changed the textures from 256 to 512. I don't know how you could tell it was 256 just by looking at it! Sorry I didn't have them that way to begin with, but 512 textures have never worked on Armada for me so I didn't even consider it. I added a fair amount of detail and finally got around to ...

I think you have to use a SOD. I personally just modified the Anti-Matter Mine weapon to make it a standard weapon that referenced the appropriate SOD file. It does look like a nice projectile, but I would be happier if I could think of some way to give it a trail. I noticed, though, that if you use...

I might be able to get it even lower because there may have been some vertices that were snapped together but forgot to combine, but I'm glad 2175 is satisfactory. I worked on texturing the ship a bit before I went to work today. Here's a picture. I spunked it up and made it into more of a poster th...

Evidently you know more about the whole thing than I do. I wish I could help, but the one time I messed with an animated ship was when I tried to copy the Federation construction ship with a new texture. It worked but the animation that the ship should have maintained got lost in translation somewhe...

Sounds like my life up until last week. You have my sympathy (not to be confused with pity). You're right, the Borg would find a way (maybe nanites with little propellers that fly rather than swim, or whatever). Maybe some time I should open this issue to additional consideration in the General Chat...

I will do whatever it takes to make that count. Thank you for approving of the design!!! This totally made my day. ...45 minutes later... Okay, it's just over 2500 now, and looking like I'll have to remake a few figures from scratch but oh well. I just wanted to know, is it 2200 including Borg chunk...

You want me to do the same thing? I was hoping for some feedback on the model I posted (be it positive or negative).

Okay, it may be too early for me to need this information, but while I'm thinking about it, you told me that you wanted the battleship to be of comparable strength to a Galaxy-class. Are the Galaxy's stats the same as they were in the original Armada (same shield strength, recharge rate, and firepow...

Cool, I'm already started on what promises to be a very big Breen ship. I've got to go to work soon, so I don't really have time to upload any pictures, but I think it shows potential. I have a fairly good idea for a destroyer design already too, but it may prove very difficult to actually make. And...

Okay, I know I asked this before and chickened-out, but your posting of need for Breen units I find irresistible. Thanks oodles and oodles for including them, by the way. I will make some models for your consideration, should you choose to consider them. But if I can contribute something to Breen-ne...

I don't think Phantom gets mad that easily. I don't see what there is to be mad about, anyway.

That may be all well and good for a Milkshape modeler, but I make my models in gmax and that program has an irksome "ignore backfaces" system (it seems to like to include side-faces in the selection). Still, I feel that the benefits of gmax outweigh the difficulties, so I plan to continue to use it....

I don't gain or lose anything. And you're right, ships are small in A2. That's a big part of the reason that I generally prefer 1 (but not the only reason for sure). I may have nothing to gain, but I'm not really trying to have a super-high poly count, so whatever my final count is it has reached th...

Yes, I have been trying to extrude as much as I can (now) but I find it difficult at times, and it isn't useful for everything, as you know. Thanks for the link!
