Hehe very nice USSCapital, it's about time more people started using things like this. I'd tried it with my Earth Alliance ships, it's possible to get some really nice effects with it. Pretty much identical to the warp nacelle glows people have figured out now too. MaP, have PM'd you with how to did...

You can change the names of the resources per race too. So one race calls it Dilithium, another race calls it Uranium, another calls it Quantium-40, etc. That's done in the GUI files.

As i remember there's a special hardpoint (a sprite node), connected to the mesh piece in the hierarchy... i hope that makes sense, i ain't tried it (recently).
NOTE: I don't know if that is how the shield hit works, i only know that theoretically it's a way it could work.

You should set up a website with all of your designs, and like a tree structure showing how they've progressed. It would be quite an interesting site.... :)
