Hi; It depends on the program. There is a difference between A1 and A2, In A1 you can raise the number of available officers by building officers quarters at your starbase. This has to be done by programming the AI accordingly. It does not work automatically. In A2 and in A1 you can find the lines: ...

Hi, I think you have a notebook specific problem. It is the shared memory of your graphics card. I do not know how much you know about computers or more precisely notebooks. Shared Memory means that your installed graphics card has no RAM of its own, but instead uses a part of the RAM that is instal...

Just followed the link to the intel site. The Kelvin looks great, the 2 Wallpapers give me enough material to make my own version for A2. This ship has all the design elements which one would associate with a pre TOS / TOS Era ship. But after seeing the trailer I never would have guessed what kind o...

What an abomination. I really dislike this ship. It´s like looking at an impostor from the 29th century claiming to be a pre TOS ship. There are a lot fan made designs out there which have a better look and feel and fit better into the time line than this ugly thing claiming to be the enterprise. J...

Hi, I looked into it some time ago. As far as I could find out then, the different detectClases where meant to give different capabilities to detect cloaked ships for the different races. So that for example the Federation and maybe the Borg have the best detection capabilities. The Klingon and the ...

Working on a Fusion Cube, needing Information

Hi, I wanted to have a better looking armoured fusion cube for my game so I made one. As with a lot of my models, the polygon count is relatively high. Currently it is at 6828 polys. Reason for this are the armour plates of the cube. (My ordinary fusion cube just has 1740.) So I started a poly reduc...

Just a final word to it from my side: Did we all forget the Software Licensing Agreement for Star Trek®: Armada II Editor ? It is published worldwide on every Armada 2 Program Disk. It is out there since several years. Read it closely. If I have not misunderstood this text gravely we do have the ri...

Captain_Bruce Just a question: How did you come to this conclusions? Another: Where did you study law? I think that you should know clearly what you are talking about before you start advocating the misuse of the materials and the violation of authors rights You are talking here about an issue of co...

Hi, You have a small problem with your texture application. Part of the texture is defined as “FRONT” an other part as either as “LEFT” or “RIGHT”. Go to the texture coordinate editor of milkshape to see that. If you want to avoid that, you have to take a close look at your model before you start te...

I have seen these pictures some time ago. The ship in itself is great, really great. But the design has some elements in it you see only in later eras (TMP and later) it also has some elements you saw first on later larger ships. So being a great and well done design it does not fit into the time po...
