The point was so that ships could be promoted to three different levels of veterancy. I did that with the prototype awhile back, but now I want to make three different levels. I think there is another way around though.

I need to try another classlabel, I think the effects will work if I class label it as a torpedo, or a gravity mine. Unfortunately most of the class labels will not work. It seems that some one else tried something similar and came to the same conclusion that you can't get around the class label.

No, I played with it last night and the death chant texture comes on. Even though every thing looks right in the sprite. The idea I had was to have the little promotional circles like in the shows, like C&C Generals I'm going for three promotion levels, veteran, elite, and legendary. I think I'm going to use it with MP so that the research pods have one charge of special energy with no recharge rate. to promote ships.

I put it on a ship with no other weapons, and I've already tried F1-F5 and it doesn't work. In the meantime I have poured over the gui_global.spr I assigned the button to another weapon and it works so I think I might have a tech odf wrong or something wrong with the weapons sprite

The law (in the U.S.) says if they make an error in your favor its alright, but if an error is made in their favor it is termed as false advertising or what not. Not to mention the errors in their favor to me balance out the errors in your favor.
