The easiest way to do the events.odf mods is to open it up in Notepad and go Edit -> Replace and put in <Borg>. :)

I think that by browsing both here and at A2Files in Armada 2(lol) downloads for Federation, you can find both the Nemesis shipyard and a Nemesis-ere repair yard by Phantom, released from FT. That tutorial just allows you to replace the Borg race without the nodes and borgification, I believe. I think that if they gave tools to one group of modders they're obligated to release them publicly. However, I just think Phantom's a clever guy who figured out how to add more races without source code. It's probably all there, if you dig deep :)

I'm pretty sure that it's classified until the release of FT. But I can help you map out the needed changes for the most part, except for the crucial part that identifies playable races. I have everything else. :) I think :wink:

That would still change every captured ship to a pseudo-Venture. You'd need a way to implement separate borg textures for each model.:?

BTW, I got A2 on eBay for about $45 Canadian. If you get the German version and than change the ODF and interface files to English, it's a lot cheaper. :)

I don't believe that is possible in either Armada. You could make it so that the Borg can build a certain ship once they have control of a Venture, but you cannot transform the ship. :(
