Post by assainator » Fri Aug 01, 2008 5:57 am

i have some questions:

i somehow lost the 3 arrows in the perspective view. does anyone know how to get it back?

and sometimes use the arc rotate tool in the front, left and top view, and then i't losts of tubble reversing it, anyone knows how to "reset the view"? (in milkshape it could be done within 2 seconds(if your slow))

well i know your answers, but please make your own tread next time.

if you have a premade texture (metal, skin, wood) as a picture (.bmp, .tga .jpg), press m, then the material editor will come up.
then in the roll out menu: maps , click the box with "none" afther diffuse color , then click bitmap, and select your texture. it can be that you don't see the texture on your model right away, you need to click the blue-white box below all of the spheres.

you texture should appear there, the only problem is: some places the texture is longer or shorter then when you drawn it, you need to aply unwrap uvw, i'm not gonna explain that to you but you can go here: http://waylon-art.com/uvw_tutorial/uvwtut_02.html
