Can some1 suggest the best way to have the defiant class able to take heavy damage before loosing any of its small crew. At the moment, the ships crew all die b4 the ship takes more that say 20% damage to its systems.

First use: shieldProtection =1 <-- prevents crew dying before shields are at 0% Then you still got hull integrite. Now crew will start dying.
To decrease/increase the dying crew
//CREW CASUALTY FOR SYSTEM DESTRUCTION
//The percentage of crew killed when the engines are destroyed
enginesCrewLoss = 5.0f
//The percentage of crew killed when the lifesupport is destroyed
lifeSupportCrewLoss = 3.0f
//The percentage of crew killed when the weapons are destroyed
weaponsCrewLoss = 2.0f
//The percentage of crew killed when the shields are destroyed
shieldGeneratorCrewLoss = 2.0f
//The percentage of crew killed when the sensors are destroyed
sensorsCrewLoss = 2.0f
//The percentage of crew lost every second while life support is disabled
lifeSupportLoss = 2.0f[/color]
<--- you'll find this in the craft odf. If you wish to only apply these to a defiant class, copy thes lines into your defiants claas odf if the're not allready there.
Change the percentage. Lower percentage, fewer crew die. Higher percentage, more crew will die.
