I agree that it is very ugly. You are so right Cecil that the ship is one ugly piece of junk.

Errrrrm, that ain't no TNG Ulysses...no...the Ulysses had grace and character and looked dominating...this just look's like the enemy would fire at it to put it out of it's design misery.

It's like a cross between an Intrepid, Ulysses and Akira, it's really quite ugly. From some angles though it look's alright...but...how long do you think it'll be till thats on A2/BC?

I can understand your piont of view as I was hoping to see something new not just a kitbash but to me the new luna class design looks very similar to the pathfinder class ship found on uss miranda. What with the alkira style catamarang naccels and roll bar.

Like I continue to maintain ever since I seen this "thing", the nacelles are out of place. Reposition them to reflect the name angle as the intrepid and it'll look much better.

I have to say, I don't think this is Riker's new ship. The ship was supposed to be a new top end ship from what I understood.

Aw well, It's a new ship to render for the game at least.

To me it looks like a ship with potential, IF well IF you can forget:

- that it is just another kitbash, I can identify akira nacelles sovereign struts a shorted sovereign hull (primary and secondary ) and placed on top of that sovereign saucer an akira bridge with
akira torpedo unit and an ugly insert to make the saucer look thicker.

- that its single components are somewhat out of proportion (the nacelles for example) and some angles are just not right

- that it looks like a creation out of star ship creator

So much to that.

Now to the potential: the idea that the creator had, is in itself not bad. If you look at the black side view in the comparison chart and make the saucer thinner that ship would make a modern (TNG) version of the ulysses not as good as the original though.

That the creator has taken elements from other classes is in my view not bad (well to get ideas to work with) but with a bit more effort towards quality it could have been a much better ship.
Perhaps it was his first
Potential wasted.

But if that’s the winner ? How do the runner ups look like. Scares me.

True, incording to what everone else thinks. I think it is very nice. Besides one of the judges was Rick Sternbach and we all know what he does.

Wow........that is truly hideous.

My comment for that ship:

its a repulsive looking thing, with Kitbash and lack of ideas put into it.

The Moscow Class is remaining as FT's Titan (its a Akira-Hybrid) and is under construction, but this thing is bah

Samething I posted over at Elronds forum:

And another "fan made" star trek ship design, I'm getting tired of those thrown together ships. Just copy and pasting sections of the galaxy, akira and sovereign together isnt a talent.
Its been a while.

Ah, no! Of coarse, I'm not one too good with names, but who the fudge is this guy?

Now folks, don't be too disappointed, and there's good reason not to be. That is this little pile'O'poop is NOT canon, unless it's seen on a Star Trek Show or Movie, per the official rules of what "Canon" is.
