scaffold-amjiggers :?:
can you explain that to me? Iam sorry, english is not my motherlanguage.

At least, do you mean doing it BIGGER?
I think, the EA wont use asteroids, they may use very hard projectiles with uranium components, like the penetrating warheads of the 20/21st centuries.
Even if treaties are "Ink On A Page" (Lord Refa), the EA would follow it after the EA-Minbari War until Clark's dictatorship and not use asteroids to flatten cities.
This ship is more used for ship-to-station engagements.

Sorry no thats not what I meant. The scaffold things (jiggers = things) its just a saying.

Its just if your going to do a Centauri type weapon it should kind of look like eath bastardized version of that weapon. So two scaffold/launcher/things firing your projectile inbetween.

Mass drivers that fire small projectiles are called 'Rail Guns', they're already in use on some ships (the Warlock, for example) :-)

Yeah, of course are they called railguns.
But this one is a gun that can only fire a few shots of really heavy projectiles onto a target and not like a machine rifle to fire a hundred projectiles per thirty seconds.
@rodglas: thanks, for the explanation (I'm learning everyday something new...) and the tip.
@Atlantis: Consider this as a test version for the Warlock's railguns. (Is that Warlock thing ugly, bah!)

You don't like the Warlock!

But its like the point of the spear aimed at your enemies heart. It's a sweet ship IMO not quite as cool liooking as the Omega (not pretty just cool lookin') but I think that gets made up for by its shear size and potential for dominace.

Outside the Minbari , nobody has anything quite as cool as the Warlock.

From the rational military point of view I say: Warlock, why not. Test it, when it fails use it for target practice, when it's great, kick some butts with it!

The Omega/Nova was much more impressive and the Hyperion had a cool design.

I generally prefer Rocketdyne Corp's designs (Nova, Omega, Poseidon, etc), and they're highly modular so you can easily make loads of reasonable kitbashes. It's not so easy with Karmatech (Hyperion, Olympus) designs, although they look good too.

I'm ok with the Warlock, but my favourite is also the Omega.

The new ships right from the production/refit line:
Endurance Hyperion class Fire Support Unit
4514 polies

Hyperion class heavy cruiser
3422 polies

Nova class DN (I refitted my old mesh)
5374 polies

There's a little problem with my image hosting, I can see if I can post pics of the Endurance and the Nova soon.
Poliecounts: These are not that low, and I reduced every polie that was unnecessary and crossed my way... (I was in mood for polie-hunt!)
BUT that are Earthforce ships and they have lots of parts that need a higher poliecount to look good. If you build a hundred of these ships, your game may slow down, but I checked a larger number on my Laptop (which is four years old) and it worked fine! Even when having one of the older units I build in game (eg. the Nova II DN, poliecount: more than 1100 polies!! Not yet released due to complete overdue).

AND NOW you can CHANGE the names shown on the modell! How this works: Download the model and read it in the readme file!

The Endurance Hyperion has already been submitted to AFC, the Hyperion (together with a Midwinter refit) will follow.
The B5 tech pack announced will be done in the next week, because then I have lots of freetime and probaly the right attitude to do some B5 weapons. But I need some good textures...

I have a Narn cruiser on the line and a few very advanced EA warships.

PEACE!!!

Hmm, looking good. I like B5 ships and these look not only good, but they look like my PC can handle 100 of them on the screen.

I post some new images tomorrow. Underway are the poly-reduced Nova II class DN and a standard Hyperion as well as a Midwinter Hyperion.

But one JPEG for your pleasure:

The new Nova mesh. I redid the old one, reduced polycount and added a few more details. And you can change the name of the ship to a custom one.

I might delete the red markings.

Looking good. I could use some of these in my Earth/Human Mod if you release them and give me permission. You are great at making B5 ships. :P
