game crashes after ship is built

in my own personal mod that i am making, the game crashes when the computer builds a breen ship. It crashes because I have the repulsion wave as one of its special weapons. when i took the repulsion wave off, it worked fine. another thing to note, is that when i build the breen ship, the computer does not crash, only when the computer builds it.

is the weapon researched if yes check the AI for the order of research i think you might find that the weapon isn't researched before the AI tries to build the ship

are you sure that the AI did build the pods before it built the ship

double check you didn't leave out a quotation mark in the Breen Ship ODF line that is buggign you, (the weapon that is messing up that is)

checked it, everything was fine in the odf file. i put the same special weapon on another ship besides the feklar and the breen ship, and the game crashed as well. i think it has something to do with the special weapon, although i think that is really weird if it is so.

Hi,
its just a hunch , but try the following :

make a copy of grwave.odf and rename it to grwave2.odf for example

make this file known to your game (entries in the tech trees, new button, etc. I think you know how to do that alredy) and change the rest of your coding accordingly

use this “new” weapon instead, and see what happens. I think it should work then.
