Trying to bring another warbird to life

Post by pepperman » Fri Aug 29, 2008 11:07 pm

Trying to bring another of Atolm's warbirds to life.

Okay, I have tried to make this warbird several times, with each attempt ending in failure and frustration. But, perserverence has finally paid off. Yes, Achilles has made this one already and did an excellent job. Unfortunately, this one is too high in poly count for any serious game play on Armanda...around 6500 polys...yikes.

This is a very impressive one. What capacity will it fill? Battleship? Destroyer?

OMG! (and I don't use internet abbreviations lightly). That design has such refined elegance! The only problem I guess is the squareness on the sides, but like I'm one to talk 'cause I do the same thing. Hats off, man!

The poly count is too high for Future Tense. :(

I have most of my ships in my own personal mod but mostly just make ships for the fun of it. And no, I don't do requests nor join modding projects. I have modelled several Romulan ship designed by Atolm as I really like his work. Some of these have been released to the community.

Phantom already knows the value of Atolm's designs and has incorported some of them into Future Tense.

I hate the poly restriction o A1. I think someone needs to develop a program to extend its poly count for smoother gameplay.
