U.S.S. Enterprise-H (Cyberon-class)

Post by Corbomite_Ray »

I'd like to start off being saying that I highly advise all of you to come and participate in the RPG here, because it's just about to get started, but anyway, we have a plan to have the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-G (Nautilus-class, by the way), which is the flagship of the Unification movement to bring the two halves of the Federation back together, face off against the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-H, which is controlled by the Federation (which has been taken over in a last-ditch attempt to stop the Unification by the engineers of the war, Section 31) to prevent the latter from informing the Section 31-controlled Federation government about an infiltration team led by the other ship crews in the RPG.

Upon some discussion that included the candidacy of the Divine-class starship in the WIP forums as the Enterprise-H, we seem to have agreed that the ninth starship to bear the name as constructed by the United Federation of Planets should be of the Cyberon-class of ships.

The Cyberon-class (found at http://www.shipschematics.net/startrek/ ... yberon.jpg and PhotoBucketed at http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y195/M ... yberon.jpg
) is on ShipSchematics.com and can be found at this page: http://www.shipschematics.net/cgi-bin/s ... gi?Cruiser . We would like a 3D mesh and if possible a scene featuring this ship in orbit around a planet to be made. This ship was originally made by someone named Joseph Kelly, though unfortunately he left no email address to request permission at. As I am unsure of the precise conventions on matters such as this, I felt that it would be best to give credit where credit is due and proceed without explicit written permission because obviously that would be nigh-impossible to attain (I don't feel like digging through phone books and calling up every single listed person named Joseph Kelly in the world until I find the right man).

If anyone is interested in modeling this beaut of a starship for either Armada II or as a high-detail 3D mesh, it would be very greatly appreciated. :)

This request is hereby cancelled. Please await further updates.

Ditto.

Also, I'd also like to say that I'd love to make it, but three things:

1) No time.
2) Seriously, no time.
3) I suck at textures, big-freakin' time! LOL.

There are a lot of people who are busy with their own mods, but I hope there's someone out there who is 1) good at modelling, 2) good at texturing, and 3) has the time to do it. I'm good at making the models themselves - and placing the nodes in the right places, but as far as texturing, I'd have someone else do those. And I would personally recommend a veteran moddeler for something like this, though most of them are working on mods.

Definitely a great suggestion, C_Ray. Hopefully someone could do this.

Ack!!! What a horrible design. Under normal curcumstances I do like to see these kinds of posting but this "ship", if you want to call it that, looks like it was just thrown together.

I kind of liked the "back-up" design better anyway.

Is this better? http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/fi ... dria;41697

EDIT - I just emailed the creator to ask permission. I'll keep you updated on that.

Doesn't fuss me. It was JPKTrekker's big thing and I was just kind of going along with it and using Falsely Enthusiastic Power Drive Mode(TM) to try to motivate people to model it. Simply polying down and converting that Archimedes-class (Alexandria Refit) ship would be way easier.

Rather mean-looking vessel, ain't it? But also quite sleek and pretty. It depends on which way you're wanting to see it in, and that's a good quality for an Enterprise to have.
