Narada for Armada 2?

How about the Narada (hero and buildible) for Armada 2, is anyone currently working on bringing that devastating ship to A2? Cause Id like to pit it against the Scimitar and both the Missouri and Yamato :twisted:

Also does anyone know who is or has done the hero ships of the Enterprise and Kelvin of Star Trek XI?

Well I do know a version was done for SFC3 but the model was hardly accurate. The poly count alone to make an accurate model would be several hundred thousand polys.

I don't think anyones done the Narada, but I think there's the Enterprise and Kelvin on A2Files.

It would be wonderful to see a Narada for Star Trek Armada II. It would actually make the ships from the newest Star Trek movie finally being mods in the game. :)

There is one available for BC but I have not idea how many polys she is running.

Ok, thanks for posting that lovely link :D, now if I were to download it, how hard would it be to turn it into an Armada 2 mod or is it impossible to do?

Cause I also like the design of the JJTMP Era Connie Refit that Baz1701 did

Nope. Not impossible. Firstly you'll need Milkshape 3d, SOD exporter/importer plugin and the NIF importer. You may need at least 2.5gb of memory as well if the Narada model has more than 10k of polys (milkshape plays better the more memory you have). Once you have these its a matter of importing the NIF (make sure both NIF model file and TGA textures are in the same folder), hardpointing the model and exporting to SOD.

I took a quick look at the model and she is running at 6046 polys so it would be possibel provided you used it as a hero ship and didn't build a bunch of em.

An update to this. If you look through my BI:Aftermath mod there is a version I built based on baz1701 Bridge Commander version in my mod. Pepperman. I spoke with baz1701 concerning his model and he agreed that whilst his is the only other game model its far from accurate. Mine is 8192 polys but is based on the original CGI version (well over 100,000 polys) by Ricky Wallace.

At least it gives another choice to use anyway.

MajorPayne, I saw the Narada in your Armada I BI:Aftermath, I like it. I also copied it for A2 as a Romulan Hero Ship as a Mining Vessel, that is heavily armed. Very good job on it, I like it and it looks accurate to me.
