It was unoffically gonna go online on December 24th, and then announced on Christmas Day as like a supreme present, but what with my bout of illness throughout all of September and a great part of October its a serious delay.

heres a heads up of what needs doing:

Federation
Last few remaining special weapons and balancing
Corrected Voyager Armor intergration by Straxus
MVAM tweaks so that all segiments fire from the right points
Sounds for 'rare' class models

Romulan
Kerchan, Shrike, 'unnamed' Fighter, and another cruiser need making
Special Weapons for all Romulan ships, (Any suggestions will be taken under advisement)
Sounds for the Minelayer and Destroyers
Investigation into why Romulan custom sounds dont work on anything except battleships

Reman
Scimitar Wing animation implimentation
Special Weapons

Sernaix
Serious balancing needed - Especially with that dreadnought lol

Klingons
Lightmap Error corrections need sorting
Sound event files needed for Klingon voices
Special Weapons for the race

Borg
Unicomplex animation and implimentation
Diamond, Renegade and Bomb need building and balancing
Technology Assimilation tech trees need writing
Borg AI needs a few tweaks to ignore anything below a 'medium' threat level (You have None, Low, Medium, High, Extreme)

Additional Features
Warp drive needs a few tweaks
Warp 5 NX engine needs a few tweaks as it spins?
Map units need constructing
Map interactions need more testing
New Maps need creating
New NPC's need constructing (IE FT Ferengi Maruader, Deep Space Nine, Dominion and the Cardassians)
New Nebulas need to replace the old ones (They look great btw)
New Maps will need the new backgrounds (Which also look great)

For a giggle, the Add on folder has a total of 1227 files!:

592 ODFS (Not including the Borg or the missing units/weapons)
8 Tech Tree files
627 WAV files (ouch lol)

That makes the add on folder alone 182MB!

Minimum requirements may change lol. The Zip file for Future Tense ATM is close to 160MB not including the start up which is 110MB so you're looking at a big download lol

As for release, as I said I was hoping it'd make Christmas but that date is no longer practical well, it maybe if we get added help but it depends on what skills are offered. If people are good at creating special weapons (and have an open mind to different ways of doing them) then maybe we could scrap it but I'd definatly say its now 2008. As for a coinicide of Digimon game release, I never even knew there was a game out lol and I'm ashamed to say I havent watched it in a while lol. Gantz is a great anime though :P loadsa good shoot in it :D hehe.

i've been waiting 5 years. i think i can bear to wait just a little more. if you need any basic special weapon textures (i.e., shot sprites, explosions, etc.), i've been doing a lot of work with weapon textures recently. just give me a holler by message or forum! i'd love to contribute a little to this mod.

We are having problems will hull explosions, it seems to mainly be pixel selection areas, if you have any knowledge or can create realistic explosions or effects then give me a shout, (email) adamkitchin2001@yahoo.com adamkitchin@hotmail.com (MSN messenger)

i can't offer advice on anything really because i know next to nothing when it comes to you modders. i do want to say even though it's been 5 years, seriously take your time on this. i'd rather wait another year or so (even though i don't want to, lol) than to have a mod released with a bunch of bugs and problems. you're doing excellent so far, keep up the good work!

Its should be, as long as you have A1 working on your Vista.

Hmm, i got troubles with A1 on vista. It crashes in the last romulan mission when Toral has his conversation with sela.
And the 1st mission under the omage particle image crashes upon loading the mission.

(A2 crashes randomly) That's why i use my old computer with the trust worthy Windows98 on it.

that could just be the game, not vista. i've had crash issues with levels before on vista, M.E., XP, and 98. it's just the game software. you probably wont have any problems playing on multiplayer.
