The Enterprise, NCC 1701 F Sovie Evolution

Post by Phantom » Fri Jun 23, 2006 11:01 am

It has been in debates for months that the current Enteprise F in Future Tense looked more of an Excelsior Ambassador Hybrid, rather than the next logical stage evolution in design.

A long time was spent searching for the concept to spark the new USS Enterprise.

...

Then we found one.

With the Design of Steven Hack as inspiration, and the modeling and editing skills of Overlord and myself, the new USS Enterprise is ready for launch :D

All she needs is her armour texture overlay and shes ready for battle

....

Better than the Discovery Class?

don't want to be the bad guy here, but it looks too close like a retextured enterpise-E.

Indeed it does look a little like a retexture 1701-E, but it looks really really cool! I think the similiarities of this design are definately a logic step, though your former 1701-F looked nice, too.

Dang, I have to get my A1 disc out again.

I much prefer this model to the previous Ent-F y'all had. It certainly looks more the part of Starfleet ship design evolution than its predecessor. To be honest the old model looked more like a throwback in design than evolution.

Not bad but I have a small gripe on it also... Can you do me a small favor and just mod the warp nacelles slightly to give it that FT flavor, no offence but they're a tad stock. If want to take a tip on it, i'd add some armor along the nacelles like on your Galaxy Class Ships. To me they seem just too exposed...No Pun intended, other than that great model.

Fair comments.

I know what you mean, The nacelles do actually have a two tone shading similar to a Nova Class. (Darker Bottoms) but since I still have to add the hull marker map, it may help break solid colours up and I'll experiment with the Nacelles a little

This'd be slightly smaller than a Sovereign but similar width. (682m)

Also did you take a look at my post in the Wishlist area? A small version of the Sovvy.

Also: On note, are you going to release the other version as a A1 Extra ship? or still include that in FT?

Oh also on the Nacelles, you could leave them the way they are and just do an add on like on the Intrepid ship with the Armor, just hit a button and armor pops over the engines.

Here is the Sovereign and Enterprise together in scale for size and design comparison, with hull plate 1 on. May leave hull plate 2 off as its looks fairly ok at the mo

not a bad ship, though I still wanna see armor covered warp nacelles, I think that would be a neat feature.

lol.

I am not gonna armour up all the Feds. Armour will be on the Intrepid Class as its canon and also to make the Intrepids unique.

Fear not, the Enterprise will have a very unique feature to her - other than a new captain

Very nice Adam. Does look like a evolution of the Sovereign.
