Here are the first screenshots of the Reman playable race in Future Tense.

The only thing I dont like is the Scimitar's texture needs to be darker. Couldnt locate the newer sod file with the mapped areas only the basic unmapped one which'd mean revamping the entire ship and retexturing the thing which for a 2000 poly thing I'd rather not do if that makes sense, so this bird will get a texture edit to tone down the misty look and become slightly more metalic than present and a lot more intimidating.

But yeah first Screenshots of the Remans. Other members that are lucky enough to have Beta Access are welcome to show the Remans as they arrive to Future Tense in the closing weeks to the February 28th Release Date which is only jeapodized by the Borg and Romulans at this stage but should be okay as we are 'adapting'


Anyhow:

The Remans have adapted Armada's Griffin Class into a thing of terror and intimidation!

this thing has had more delays than hl2 , does this mean another delay with adding another playable race ? . i thought you were adding them as an addon

The Remans are 100% completed - bar the exceptions of the scimitar color edit on her textures and the need for lightmaps and borg/damage nodes.


These were done early last year. They were in it before just not scaled and they used basic romulan Armada weapons, - only now they have their own sets of weapons and are scaled correctly as you can see by the Sovereign pic :)

They have added no time to the thing at all, release is still expected to be 28.02.07 or 02.28.07 wherever you're from.

I've been following the progression of Future Tense from the beginning and I must say that you guys are amazing. The stuff you've created is amazing (really!!)--but...
That scimitar looks really messed-up. I'm no expert, but are the proportions way off? I think it needs more than a new texture.
Sorry. Just my opinion. Otherwise the detail is incredible.--except for the wings.

I managed to find back ups of the Scimitar and Reaper :D


So I have spent the past 6 hours texturing the new canon model (It was created from about 160 screencaps) and have created this little gem....

The Reaper will follow when I can recharge lol, 8hrs to build (most of the time was cross referencing and redoing) and an added 6hrs texturing, feel wrecked lol. Results prove it was worth it though in my opinion...

Chris get in touch quick as you'll be animatin the wrong model lmao

The retexturing helped a lot. Nice work on the scaling, guys. One thing that's always kind of bothered me about A1 is the lack of proper scale with the ships. Since I'm not about to go through each ship's ODF and scale them myself, it's good to see someone else started off with that in mind. :D

that's strange, all the remans look just like remans from the Xtreme Dominion addon for kleotol's Xtreme mod. Is that where they're from?

of course the new phantom scimitar does not look like them and is really nice!
