Federation Tactical Starbase (FT: Replacement)

Future Tense's Starbase seemed to need some revisions. She was the first station ingame and over recent months what with the new fleets looking more and more staggering and having the 'wow' factor. The old 3 year model has sorta been screaming for a revision.







Let me know what ya think :)

Same design, brand new mesh, just with a few little extras to bulk it up a bit

Man that is cool, I could hook that up to multitasking, offloading latinum and dilithium, as well as building ships and repairing. Gives me some good modding ideas...

ohh, phantommy phantommy, don't listen to that mean old uss_capital. it's a nice station. I'm glad to see you're normalizing!

seriously. it's pretty good, but i don't really see that the second one's that much better although it does have some nice new details. and it doesn't really remind me of a steering wheel.

i guess you never saw the allegro with the square steering wheel :wink: , but untill i see it textured i cannot realy compair the 2 . and less of the old thank you :P

Just debating whether to put space doors on it, as Elrond has a crazy plan to get her building several ships at once similar to the Nebula yards which still need their docking arms animating. Im hoping this new base at any rate will have texture animated "runway lights" and I 'may' try and get work bees moving back and forth inside it.

It is ment to be scaled so a Galaxy Class can fit inside it and though the old one can do that, the way its outer docking ring is made, the size of it simply cannot allow ships to dock with it as the base takes up an entire screens worth (it covers about 10 grids squared :S)


This ones ring is closer and bulked up so I can put turrets and things onto it :) Im just growing concerned about the count.


As for comments I welcome all :) hense what makes it "constructive"

Everyone is entitled to their opinions USS Capital so dont feel like you cant speak your mind, I personally like both versions. Im going to reserve full judgment for this new version till she is textured.
