UEO Fleet Reinforcements have arrived!!!

Post by Straxus » Fri Sep 23, 2005 3:12 am

Here is a pic of a couple new UEO submarines I have made.

I have a third ship in the works (most likely another cruiser)

@Rodglas: Do you want some some freighters and constuction ships for these fleets and what guidelines do you have for them?

Here is the newest one. I think Battleship seems most fitting.
I have been trying to determine a name for this beast.

@CaptSyf: Well considering how I have been more drawn to helping with Seaquest than my own mod (Galactic Uprising), Seaquest Armada may get done alot sooner.

Those bubble streams coming from the ships' engines looks kinda neat, any chance that you'll use bubble sprite trails in the mod?

@draconis_sharp: I made those emitters specificaly for Seaquest Armada and unless Rodglas decides otherwise, they will probably be in the mod.
I also made underwater smoke bubble emitters and gave him the sprites for the "crew" emitters for his mod (crew emitters eject little bodies from the submarines when crew node takes critical hit, also being used in Galactic Uprising)

Here is another ship I just finished texturing. I am thinking "Kraken" Class would be a cool name if it is not already taken for a sub in the mod.

Let me know what you guys think.

WOW, these ones are looking good.

I think the Captains of the "older" subs of the mod need to be well prepared to fight them. (Outnumber them)

I thinking that the real world subs for the Confed side will be plentiful and very cheap in comparison to the other groups.

The Confed side will, I think, have a mix of subs, some real world, some "older" UEO and Mac desgins and at least a handful of ther own advanced subs like the Titan https://www.armadafleetcommand.com/afc/m ... 3753#53753or maybe even one of Straxus' badboys here as the UEO is IMO is starting to get pretty full of ships (Still need stations though Straxus:) )

OK, will make this the last UEO design and I will start getting started on the stations for the various groups and some chao dai ships (spelling?).
By the way Rodglas could you give me some examples of Chao Dai ships again? That and do the Confederacy have any unique designs that are not based on other nation designs?

Well here is my latest (and probably last) UEO ship:
UEO Stingray class scout sub

Let me know what you think! Its less than 200 polys...

I like it Straxus.

The only canon Choa Dai ship is the Shiou Class Subfighter, all other designs were my own concept. Her is the link with the CD subs I've done so far, they all survived the Hard drive crash and you had them saved as well.

I'm going to redo the Shiou myself when I get around the to CD fleet again, (maybe next week) but I think you can see where I was going with the design.

Got a question about the chao dai ships... are they just grey or was that the generic texture you where using? The reason I ask is blue/green just seems to scream out at me when I look at the designs...

Well the Shiou was a light grey in the show but yes they are just generic textures I was using.

Rod.
