Faith of the Heart

Do you have creative writing skills?? Think you can charm the masses with a story or two?? Perhaps you can create a mini-toon based on Armada. Then give it a go right here.

Faith of the Heart

Post by JPKTrekker » Thu Jun 02, 2005 6:40 pm

It's been a long road,
Getting from there to here.
It's been a long time,
But my time is finally near.
And I will see my dream come alive at last,
I will touch the sky.
And they're not gonna hold me down no more,
No they're not gonna change my mind,

Cause I've got faith of the heart,
Going where my heart will take me.
I've got faith to believe,
I can do anything.
I've got strength of the soul,
No one's gonna bend or break me.
I can reach any star.
I've got faith,
I've got faith,
Faith of the heart.
"Until Hell calls my name!"

No offense, but that song sends a chill down my spine.

A good song for a great series. May it Rest In Peace.
I liked the way they did it for the first couple seasons.
I enjoy the moments of peace and quite.
You know, when you dont think about anything.
I enjoy all 3 seconds of the day when that happens.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! WILL THE INSANITY NEVER END?!?!??!?!?!?! Of all the things I did'nt like about Enterprise, a non trekish non classical theme song took the cake. I'm glad it's dead!

And it's not a good song either.

I think Enterprise was bad. I like shows with character development, originality, and continuity. Enterprise not only lacked these, it was the embodyment of the opposit of all of these things!

*realises what I just sayd and braces myself for hin inevitabele ban...* :P

I liked the song. I was never sure if it was the best choice for a star trek theme song. But by itself it is a good song.

As long as this doesn't turn into a flame war, all comments are fine. If a flame war starts, be warned, I know the admins well enough here, they will lock this thread and even punish those involved in flaming.

Now with that out of the way, I personally love the song. I have both the original, as it aired on season one, and the full version. I have these on a CD with the best of the other Star Trek theme songs. When I want to feel inspired during modding/ modelling, I listen to the whole thing. Whether you like the song tacked onto enterprise, anyone aware of the lyrics would agree that it's a very inspiring song. Personally, I don't see what all the fuss is about with people that don't like the song. Ok, so it's up beat, well, when one looks at the fact that all other star trek series and movies are making you listen to CLASSICAL style music, it makes me wonder. How can the average person that can't stand old style music, sit there and like ANY Star Trek music. I bid those that say they don't like the song, to compare this with how they do like other trek music. I mean, I'm pretty sure most don't listen to classical symphonics on a daily bases, and yet they like it. Most people can't even answer this question, because they don't know why they like trek music. I myself can say I like music ranging from Classical, such as Bach, to modern Punk/Rock/Rap such as LP, and a wide range inbetween. So for me, it is easy to like a song, any song off of Star Trek. That is because I understand that whatever the incarnation is, Star Trek is about hope for mankind, about man becoming more than the greedy-self centered-butchers that this race has been. Every last Theme song gives the feeling that you are watching something "Larger than Life", and/or is inspirational. This includes that last series, and it's theme song.
The end of one Era is near... Star Trek Armada II - All Good Things...
