Although extraordinary valor was displayed by the entire corps of Spartans and Thespians, yet bravest of all was declared Spartan Dienekes. It is said that on the eve of battle, he was told by a native of Trachis that the Persain archers were so numberous that, when they fired their volleys, the mass of arrows blocked out the sun. Dienekes, however, quite undaunted by this prospect, remarked with a laugh, "Good. Then we'll have our battle in the shade." -Herodotus, The Histories

The true test of a man is not what he does in times of adversity, but rather how he does it! - Unknown

"Battleplans are all well and good, but here's the truth; It doesn't matter how well concieved the plan is, no plans survives contact with the enemy!"
A friend, on the topic of C&C Red Alert

Now, tell me how true this sounds......

If the first dimension is a dot; to get the second, you must square the dot. The second is a line; to get the third, you must square the line. The third is a cube; to get the fourth, you must square the cube. To us, this is impossible, but what if we change the graphic to 3d: Draw a line, left to right. At right angles to it, draw on top to bottom. Now, at right angles to them, draw one going into and out of the orgional plain. Now you have dimensions 1-3. Now try this for four: a perfect sphere, centered where the lines cross! As per perpendicular mathematics, all the lines will intersect the surface of the sphere at 90 degrees, or right angles!! Is it not safe, then, to assume the space it curved, and that time is a sphere, since general theory suggests time is the fourth dimension . . . .
