Extreme Heat

Post by Microsoft » Mon Jul 25, 2005 11:59 pm

I don't what it's like where everybody else lives, but it's been really hot here and in a lot of places in the US, just looks it's going to be about a 100 here with a heat index around 110. I'm so happy my parents bought a pool last year!

I've also heard the heat has killed like 50 ppl or something through the country.

I live in Southern California. We have diversely different temps depending on our local. Along the coast where I live it's been pretty mild with a couple days at about 90 but mostly low 80s. In the valleys it is always 20-30 degrees hotter at most times. Just to the south in the beach cities it is cooler by perhaps 10 degrees. Our real summer hot days are September and a bit of October. Humidity is tolerable. I hate weather extremes so this is the place for me.

Here in Oklahoma it has been at 100 or over for the last week. A few days ago it rained for a hour and it dropped to 75 but the next day it was 100 again.
I enjoy the moments of peace and quite.
You know, when you dont think about anything.
I enjoy all 3 seconds of the day when that happens.

It's 1:30 and it's already 92 here which is about 10 degrees above are normal high. Where suppost to approach the 100 degree mark which as only occured a few times in the last 30 years! Were suppost to have severe thunderstorms this afternoon so I hope that will cool us down.

I don't know if we'd do that. 1988 was a really hot year, hotter than this one, so we just got a hot year this year. Hotter than it's been for nearly 20 years. Lol
