No they are going for as low as 50 on ebay used and some of the ones I have found through like amazon have been as high as 120.00. That's why I am asking if anyone knows where I can get one cheap. Thanks for the input though.

Yep. I found a copy of Armada 1 just this past week at EB Games - a used copy, but actually was barely used - the CD was still packaged. LoL. So a fresh, new copy. 55 dollars though, but I'm glad I found it. If you go to any store that sells used games, you may get lucky and find a used copy OR maybe even a used copy-ish (used copy-ish means it's considered used but it really isn't). lol

I wonder why with the game being so difficult to find that activision haven't allowed rights to its being distributed via Freeware, or via a direct payable online download from their site. I know of a site that does this sort of thing. They basically have full versions of older games which can be downloaded after being purchased online.

I found some copies of Armada 1 on ebay starting at 99 cents (US) and there was 2 ebay stores that claimed to have "new" armada 1 games for $12 and $5 for shipping in the USA.

I guess I will try to get one of the cheaper used copies first.

I just bought a copy of the original Armada off of eBay. With shipping it cost me $8.43. So, you can get one off of eBay within reasonable pricing.

All I have to say is 'oi!' Next time I need a copy of Armada, I should shoot myself in the foot before I buy from a store again. LoL.

The Copy I got was a good buy. It was in perfect condition. However, it didn't come in the packaging or nothing, and no manual. For me, that's not an issue since I had all that, just not the disc itself. I am very pleased that the disc appears to be a new disc (was in a paper sleeve). No scratches, fingerprints or nothing. Now, I'm fix'n to install her. :D

My copy of A1 was purchased at Wal-Mart for $5.00 US. It was just the CD and Manual (no box or goodies), but the game was well worth the price. A little hunting around will turn up surprising results, if you're willing to look.

That's how much in £'s I'm a little sketchy when it comes to currency.
If it's as much as I think it is you had the best bargain.
I searched for about 3 months to find a copy and the annoying thing was after I got it home it wouldn't run, My graphics card was too old. I hade an ATI Rage11c now I have an ATI Radeon Saphire cheep and cheerful I know but when your on a budget you get what you can get.
