What is your all time favourite Sci Fi Movie?

Post by kips »

My favourite would have to be Blade Runner.

The futuristic buildings and makeup/ special effects a film worth seeing a classic with Harrison Ford.

My one would be "Sphere" with Dustin Hoffman and Samuel L. Jackson, because of some great psychology stuff and because this film had a good idea as a basis.
But the ending was, well, weird. All of them holding their hands to forget what happened? Naw.

Then I like the old Russian "Solaris" movie (not the one with Goerge Clonney, there was a Russian/Chzech production that was far better).

The Last Starfighter. Okay so the effects aren't top notch but its a good story and theres plenty of emotion in the film.

The Matrix, although I recommend that thy should invent a new category for films, and these being "philisophical".

If you don't want to accept The Matrix, then I'll have to have a longer think about that one.

Not sure if this could be labeled as Scifi,Scifi/Horror or Horror but....
John Carpenter's The Thing
I've watched this movie more times then any other, and I still give it run at least once a month.A decent story with good suspense though out.

,Methos I think you can call "The Thing" a sci Fi horror.

The one I do remember the Cheesiest one ever is "Battle Beyond The Stars" a Sci Fi remake of Magnificent Seven.

Battelstar galactica Re-invisioned. First 2 episodes were technically a start movie :D. Just the way its all played out, specially with the big fight near the end.

Hey Methos NICE avatar. I would like to use that Guyver for an avatar if it is alright with you of course.

My favorite sci-fi movie of all time . . . Hmmmmm. I would say Guyver 2:Dark Hero. But I would have to say my favorite Sci-Fi movie is The Return of Godzilla aka Godzilla 1985.
