here is the open beta test of dr:final conflict v1.01 , the readme still needs updating but i wanted to release it for an open test (release would have been sooner but i have just come out of hospital)

install instructions > when prompted point the installer to your armada2 dir (fresh install needed patched to v1.1)

notes

size of this mod 15.2 meg compressed , 135 meg installed
fixes from the closed beta are as follows :
new shield effect
fixed admiral crash bug
some description changed in some odf files

hmm with legacy released i tihnk it has killed a2 totally , i do not think this mod will make full release (non beta) . i think interest in armada has gone :cry:

Maybe a little, but it will never die completely. Legacy is a fun game, but it can NEVER replaced Armada ;)

The only notable thing I found while playing as the Tauz Kingdom is that the Devastator has no Build button, other than that everything looks pretty bloody good! Also, the bases pack more of a punch than I thought they would 8O it's not wise to underestimate with this mod.

it was ment to be that way with the stations :D (to many mods make the bases to weak) , i will make a build button and wire frame for this ship . it should be nearly complete due to the lenth of time i have worked on this mod on my own :wink:

many thx 8) , any ways here is a patch with the missing build button and wire frame . a few changes have been made to the global.gui , a new splash screen is included . this patch makes it to version beta v1.2
