possible tauz destroyer (early wip) , it is around 800 poly . what is needed ?

I think the design has potential. I've made a mockup over the image you've posted with a couple of suggestions. I would try to avoid straight lines as much as possible since you have those two "arcs" in the design. Perhaps making the ships much shorter will make this feasible.

I love the arcs though, if they are not too polygon-heavy, I'd duplicate them and, perhaps, build the entire ship out of something similar :)

anyhow, here's what I'm thinking:

edit: forgot to mention that the mock-up is not complete. The ship would obviously be symmmetrical.

i am trying to get an organic feel to it , i was going to change the inner parts . i like the side claw like wing 8O

It has an Andromeda-esque-ness to it and I dig that.

I would leave those bridges MrVulcan added off but I think the spikes would be a nice touch.

For a more organic feel try doing a more teardrop shape for the main body of ship sort of like a fish shape fat in the front but tapering of to the back into those sweet fins/spikes.

you could, of course, curve the "bridges" as well as add some ornamentation. The poly count might explode, but it should look nice. :)

also, the teardrop might look better reversed to concentrate the "pointiness" at the front. :idea:
