DR2 Ships (image heavy)

Post by uss_capital » Mon Feb 18, 2008 12:18 pm

this is the first new terran ship , it will be either a heavy destroyer of cruiser . it stands in at 1230 poly atm and is still work in progress , this will be around 1500-2000 poly when finished . they will be higher poly than the tauz ships cause the terran's have larger but fewer ships

Great design, I like the detail on the engines.

Keep it up :)

Looks good. And I'm sure it'll look even better when textured.

I'd give it a bit more depth in its centre section, to maybe make the whole thing a bit taller. Looking at the files of the old mod, egemini.sod, I think that's a good design style to follow, and this ship already seems to show a lot of similarity with it...

I think the aft end looks weak, the rest looks good though. If you beef up the aft section I think it will look much better.

i am in the process of reworking the rear atm , removing the engine pods from the sides has given me 500-600 poly to play with

Thats much better imo. A big improvement.

On the other hand, if it were me I'd probably move those engines from the sides and put them on the top and bottom closer to the centreline in back of the ship. Basically "square up" the aft section more. Everything forward of that looks perfect.
