Simple, which one is better.
I like a bit of old school so I really do like Dr. Who and Space 1999 but when it comes down to it, I'd find myself humming Dr. Who over the rest, but, it's all there for you. If you like "other" please specify as i know there are many others, including Lost in Space, Lexx and at a long run Futurama!

Well my personal favs (in no particular order) would be:
- "Imperial March" from Star Wars,
- End theme from "The Last Starfighter"
- End theme from "Flight of the Navigator"
- End theme from 1997 re-release of "Return of the Jedi" (in particular)
- Battlestar Galactica main theme.
- Terrahawks main theme
- Battle of the Planets main theme
- Total Recal main theme
- Space 1999 main theme
Plus a few others which may be to old for a few of the younger members to know, or remember.

I may like the Star Trek theme (the original one) but the Star Wars score is only rivaled by the Lord of the Rings score, and that is saying something for both of them.
Stalwart guardian of the Star Wars Expanded Universe, because it was so artistically done

games-guru is right theme of Star Trek First Contact is what I think if when I think star trek music that and the Suite from The Inner Lightgames-guru wrote:ive got to be honest the best music is from the beginning music from star trek first contact, that music really touches me and it is a true star trek theme.
I'd have to say Star Wars, games and movies (as some games have fresh music themes, like SW:KOTOR). Because it has, a lot of different music themes. Whereas most of the SW music themes are still similar enough to be instantly reconised as SW music. ST also has nice music, but I feel it lacks diversity. Same goes for the Original Battlestar Galactica. However I'm not too fond of the music themes from the new series. LOTR also has very good music, but I think the differences between the themes are sometimes too much to instantly recognise it as LOTR. So Star Wars wins.

I liked (in no order) the Imperial March, The TNG theme (seemed to be done better than the other versions), the Voyager theme, the ST:First Contact Music, and the theme that Enterprise used in its "In a mirror darkly" episodes (Not so much that it was cool, but that it wasn't the "Faith of the Heart" junk they'd been using.

Note John Williams always pops up. He did JAWS too. And David Arnold did Stargate as well as Wing Commander's music.odyssey wrote:Star Wars... pretty obvious

John Williams owns all others.
