I might not have given Atlantis the time it required, but I got put off pretty quickly...

S-G1 has some brilliant moments in it and the characters are very fun. In a way I was happy to see that O'Neil had become an office man, it made it much funnier when he had to come to S-G1's rescue. Anyhow, I'm for S-G1 but I'll have another go at Atlantis I think.

As for the 3 new broadcast network sci-fi entrants, Surfaced, Threshold and Invasion I'm neutral so far. Fair scripts though with familiar, done before story lines and no special effects that are riveting.

I haven't seen Atlantis, so SG-1 for me.

I just love the O'Neill character and with Ben Bowder coming in to replace him, I think I will be sticking with SG-1 for a long time. :wink:

Stargate SG1 may be a little repetitive at times, But like Allyant says you can always follow the story no matter how many twists or turns, so that gets my vote.

Atlantis just seems shakey, it may need a couple of seasons to get it's bearings.

I mean SG1 latched straight onto the flow of the film and kept that pace running.

Atlantis didn't realy harness the essence of stargate first time out it was totally flat building from scratch it had the feel of a dodgy SG1 episode.

well theres going to be a big battle at the end of the series were Vala Mal Doran makes contact with Stargate Command from the Ori home galaxy, and tells the story of her life undercover in a village of followers building the Ori's invasion fleet. But were not going to see them for prob 5 episodes.

I like both. Maybe because of the lack of new Trek infusion. I also like Firefly. It's too bad that they only made 11 episodes.

I have to say, I like the Gould better than the Ori. The Ori remind me of the Pah-Wraiths of DS9, With the Ancients being the Prophets. So I do like the Atlantis theme a bit better. It's fresh and new, and as stated, it's being built from the ground up.I like where Atlantis has gone, and where it's going. It's a fun watch.

On a scale of 1.0-10, I'd give...
SG-1 = 9.1
SGA = 9.4
The end of one Era is near... Star Trek Armada II - All Good Things...

Atlantis is ok. It is just so touchy feely some times 8O :twisted: :oops: :lol: . Also I find the wraith to be a over done idea, they are just waked out vampires ecentialy :evil: .
SG-1 on the other hand is wonderful. The actors are belivable. They have well planed, subtle, inter charecter relations; there is none of this hyper tence relationships like on Atlantis. The enemys are seemingly invincible and are always os a grand scale.
Over all i just like SG1 much better.
